It is located in the village of Kyrkjebø. The church is part of the Kyrkjebø parish in the Sunnfjord deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. Kyrkjebø Church is a three-nave basilica church. The wooden church, which has 500 seats, was consecrated on 7 October 1869.
